Court Ordered Community Service
Adult Court Ordered Community Service
The Alternative Service Program places nonviolent offenders in public or private not-for-profit agencies to work off fines and costs or mandatory community service hours ordered by the courts. The program serves Prince William General District and Circuit Courts and the Office of Criminal Justice Services, Virginia Office of Probation and Parole, U.S. District Court and other courts for Prince William County residents. This program fills a need in the Prince William area by providing an alternative for those offenders who cannot afford to pay fines and costs or have a suspended jail sentence. Clients are interviewed and placed according to their time availability and location.

For more information on Court Ordered Community Service contact the Adult Court Ordered Community Service Coordinator at (703) 369-5292, Ext. 200 or by e-mail bforquer@volunteerprincewilliam.org

Public and Community Service Program (PACS) Youth
This program is designed to give youth, ages 12 – 17 years, in Prince William County an opportunity to make restitution and to contribute positively to their community. All court ordered juveniles that are referred to the program by the Juvenile Court can obtain help in finding a placement site to complete their court requirements. This sentencing alternative offers constructive work experience for youth with the potential for job training, skill building, improved socialization skills and enhanced self-esteem.

For more information, contact the PACS Coordinator at (703) 369-5292, Ext. 203 or by e-mail at mfoley@volunteerprincewilliam.org.
