  • Points of Light Foundation - The Points of Light Foundation & Volunteer Center National Network engages and mobilizes millions of volunteers who are helping to solve serious social problems in thousands of communities. Through a variety of programs and services, the Foundation encourages people from all walks of life — businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, low-income communities, families, youth, and older adults — to volunteer.

  • Corporation for National and Community Service - The Corporation for National and Community Service engages Americans of all ages and backgrounds in service to help strengthen communities through AmeriCorps, Senior Corp, and Learn & Service America.

  • Freedom Corp - During his State of the Union address, President George W. Bush called upon every American to get involved in strengthening America's communities and sharing America's compassion around the world.  He included all Americans because everyone can do something, and he created the USA Freedom Corps to help all Americans to answer his call.

  • Peace Corp - To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women, to help promote a better understanding of America on the part of the people served and to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
  • Virginia Corps - The Virginia Corps Web site allows volunteers to find opportunities to serve and gives organizations a forum to register opportunities and recruit volunteers.  It provides news about general volunteerism, emergency preparedness training, and national service programs as well as information about the local and regional volunteer centers across the Commonwealth.  Virginia Corps and its Web site localize Citizen Corps, the national homeland security and preparedness initiative.  Citizen Corps helps Virginians make their communities safer by giving them the opportunity to be involved in preparedness efforts.

  • Independent Sector - Independent Sector is the leadership forum for charities, foundations, and corporate giving programs committed to advancing the common good in America and around the world. Our nonpartisan coalition of approximately 550 organizations leads, strengthens, and mobilizes the charitable community in order to fulfill our vision of a just and inclusive society and a healthy democracy of active citizens, effective institutions, and vibrant communities.
